The care products in the Eucerin AtoControl range contain a unique active ingredient complex:
These ingredients work together to soothe skin during acute flare-ups as well as to deliver the daily, basic care that atopic skin needs to prolong the period between flare-ups.
In addition to these actives, acute-care-cream also contains Menthoxypropandiol and Decanediol to calm and soothe skin during a flare-up. A derivative of menthol, Menthoxypropandiol cools skin and works at a sensory level to reduce feelings of itchiness. Anti-bacterial Decanediol combats the Stapphylococcus aureus bacteria associated with Atopic Dermatitis.

Will Eucerin AtoControl products cure my Atopic Dermatitis?
Applying Eucerin AtoControl Body Care Lotion as part of a daily skin care routine can alleviate some of the discomfort.
Is Eucerin AtoControl Lotion suitable for use on children?
Yes, so long as your child is four weeks or older.
What is meant by the “vicious circle of atopic skin”?
This describes the constant dry, itchy skin cycle experienced by people with Atopic Dermatitis; itching starts and consequently the sufferer scratches. This causes the skin's barrier to disfunction, creating a humid environment for Staphylococcus aureus bacteria to grow.
Is Atopic Dermatitis the same as Eczema?
No. Eczema is a general term for any inflammation of the skin. Atopic Dermatitis is a form of eczema, so is also known as Atopic Eczema, but there are several other skin diseases that are eczemas but not Atopic Dermatitis.
Mitä tarkoittaa pahenemisvaihe ja ajanjakso pahenemisvaiheiden välillä?
Broadly speaking, Atopic Dermatitis has two different phases. A ‘flare-up’ is one of the names used to describe the acute, active phase when skin is at its most irritable. It can feel intensely itchy, you may experience a burning sensation and skin can look dry, red and flaky. Between these acute, flare-up phases are periods of time when your skin is relatively calm and less irritated. This period is also known as the non-acute, non-active or interval phase. The length of each phase varies greatly depending on the individual, but products specially formulated to care for atopic skin − such as those in the Eucerin AtoControl range − can help to extend the period between flare-ups and offer relief during acute flare-ups.
