Product info

Eucerin Sensitive Protect Mattifying Sun Fluid Combination & Oily Skin SPF 50+ is an innovative facial sunscreen that is specifically formulated to protect against sun-induced skin damage and pigment spots. For combination and oily skin. Water-resistant.

This advanced sunscreen combines multiple cutting-edge technologies to provide expert protection against UV damage:

  • A highly effective, photostable, UVA/UVB filter system with Tinosorb S provides reliable protection against sunburn. EU- and Cosmetics Europe – The Personal Care Association (formerly called Colipa)-compliant.
  • Glycyrrhetinic Acid protects DNA by supporting the skin´s own DNA protection and repair mechanisms.
  • Cellular protection comes from Licochalcone A - a powerful antioxidant that protects the skin cells against damage caused by free radicals.

The ultra-light, non-greasy texture mattifies the skin and does not leave an oily shine. It even works well in warm, humid climates.

How To Use

Instructions

    • Avoid contact with the eyes.
    • Do not use for small children.
    • Avoid intensive midday sun and extensive sun exposure as even sunscreens with high SPFs do not offer a 100% protection.
    • Apply generously before sun exposure & reapply frequently, especially after swimming, toweling and sweating to maintain the original protection. Applying  too little creams reduces the protection effect.
    • Avoid contact with textiles and hard surfaces to prevent staining.
    • Do not stay too long in the sun, even while using a sunscreen product.

FAQ (4)

What SPF sunscreen do I need?

A Sun Protection Factor (SPF) increases the time it takes for the skin to burn by a certain factor. For example, a person who gets sunburnt after 30 minutes of sun exposure without sunscreen would not get sunburnt for 300 minutes using a sunscreen in high enough amounts with a sun protection factor of 30.Despite this level of protection  it is advisable to be in the shade for 60% of these 300 minutes as  we know that no sun protection product has a 100% protection.

Is Eucerin Sun Fluid Sensitive Protect SPF 50+ suitable for young children?

Eucerin Sun Fluid Sensitive Protect SPF 50+ was specifically developed for adult skin. For children over 1 year old try Eucerin Kids Sun Lotion Sensitive Protect SPF 50+

What is the difference between mineral and chemical UVA/UVB filters, and which one should I use?

Chemical filters absorb UV rays and transform UV rays into harmless innocuous warmth, whereas mineral filters remain on the surface of the skin and reflect and scatter UV rays that reach the surface of the skin. Both chemical and mineral filters are generally harmless and unobjectionable. The use of mineral filters is be advisable in case of intolerance towards chemical filters or for sun protection for babies and toddlers, whose skin is highly sensitive.

What is the difference between UVA and UVB rays?

Long wave UVA (Ultraviolet A) rays emitted by the sun penetrate deeply into the skin and are the root cause of oxidative stress in the skin. They are major causer of  long-term sun damage, skin ageing and skin cancer. In addition, UVA rays may trigger polymorphic light eruption (PLE), the so-called sun allergy. Short wave UVB (Ultraviolet B) rays, on the contrary, cause immediate visible damage to the skin, leading to what we usually refer to as sunburn. It penetrates the skin less deeply than UVA but is the main cause of for cell damage.

I like the consistency of the sunblock but it causes my skin to peel when I allow it to dry before I put my makeup on.
