Melanin is a natural pigment that gives colour to skin. Exposure to sunlight, hormonal influences and ageing can cause an increase in melanin production and trigger dark marks and dark spots that make skin look uneven.
Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Day Cream SPF 30 contains Thiamidol®, an effective and patented ingredient that acts at the root cause of dark marks by reducing melanin production. It is clinically and dermatologically proven to reduce dark marks and prevent their re-appearance. First results are visible from two weeks and improve continuously with regular use. Tested on South African skin.
Even on cloudy days the sun’s rays can cause sun spots, photoageing (the word used to describe premature skin ageing caused by the sun) and DNA damage. With UVA and UVB filters (SPF 30) the moisturising day cream offers effective protection from the sun and reduces the chances of skin developing sun-induced pigment spots. Skin appears even and radiant.

Properties
Instructions
- Apply in the morning to a well-cleansed face, neck and décolleté
- Gently massage into skin
- Avoid contact with eyes
- For best results, use in combination with Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Night Cream, Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Dual Serum and Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Spot Corrector
- Apply each product once a day. Use a maximum of four applications of products containing Thiamidol® per day.

Yes. Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector Day Cream SPF 30 can be used to reduce many of the different types of dark marks and dark spots which include age spots (also known as sun spots). And, with SPF 30, it also protects skin from the sun helping to reduce further sun-induced dark marks issues. For optimal results we recommend that you use it in combination with other products in the Eucerin Even Pigment Perfector range.

Hi M.S. Our Even Pigment Perfector range is indeed formulated to reduce dark marks. It may be worth using the Day Cream and the Spot Corrector on your upper lip. In that way, you are applying two applications of Thiamidol, which is the active ingredient contained in the product

Thank you for your enquiry. As with any cosmetic product, if you are absolutely certain that a particular product is causing discomfort on the skin, it should be discontinued. Having said that, it is quite unusual to react only on one area of the face, when the product is being used on the entire face. We would suggest that you stop using the product, wait for your skin to recover and then apply it again to test for skin tolerance. If your skin once again reacts adversely, we would recommend that you stop using it.
