The innovative Eucerin DermoPurifyer Mattifying Fluid effectively counteracts pimples and blackheads and helps to control demanding blemish and acne-prone skin in the long term. The mattifying fluid contains:

Salicylic Acid: both antibacterial and comedolytic, this helps to reduce blemishes and prevent them from re-appearing
Licochalcone A: soothes skin irritation and inflammation, and reduces redness
Sebum-regulating technology: reduces sebum production
Mattifying particles: provide an 8h anti-shine effect without clogging the pores

Clinical and dermatological studies prove good tolerability and efficacy on blemish-prone skin. Suitable for sensitive skin.

Main findings

In a self-assessment study, 80 men and women with acne-prone skin, aged between 15 and 40, applied Eucerin DermoPurifyer Mattifying Fluid twice a day (am and pm) for eight weeks and recorded the following results:

Instructions

Use the fluid morning and/or evening
Apply a chick-pea-sized amount (gently and evenly) to a thoroughly cleansed face
For best results, we recommend you use this product in combination with cleansers and toners from the Eucerin DermoPurifyer range

Your daily skincare routine

Cleanse and tone

Cleanse skin in the morning and evening:

am: to remove the sebum and dead skin cells that have accumulated overnight
pm: to remove make-up and free skin from the day’s dirt

Use gentle cleansing products such as Eucerin DermoPurifyer Cleansing Gel with lukewarm water and follow with an appropriate toner. You may also benefit from using a scrub once a week to unclog pores and refine skin texture.

We do not recommend using an alcohol-based toner and the scrub alongside acne medication as it can make skin more sensitive.

Care

The care product you use depends on the severity of your acne and on the type of treatment you are undergoing.

If you are using medical treatment for acne, Eucerin DermoPurifyer Adjunctive Cream helps to alleviate some of the symptoms such as intense dryness. It should be applied five minutes after your medication so the treatment can absorb fully.

If you have mild to moderate acne, but are not undergoing medical acne treatment, use a soothing and mattifying moisturiser such as Eucerin DermoPurifyer Mattifying Fluid in the morning and evening.

For clearer and smoother-looking skin over time, you may also like to incorporate our skin renewal treatment into your routine. It is suitable for all blemish-prone skin that is not undergoing medical acne treatment and should be used once a day only − ideally in the evening. You can use it before the mattifying fluid or on its own.

Sun Protection

Sun protection is an important step in your morning routine. Blemishes can cause pigmentation issues if over-exposed to the sun, and acne medications can make blemish-prone skin even more sensitive to UV rays. Eucerin Oil Control Sun Gel-Cream Dry Touch SPF 50+ offers the levels of protection that your skin needs and should be applied before your cover-up and make-up. If you’re applying sun protection after a topical acne treatment wait five minutes to allow the treatment to fully absorb.

Concealer and make-up

Cover blemishes and even out skin tone with foundation and/or a concealer. Choose products that are non-comedogenic (i.e. that will not block pores) and, ideally, ones that contain ingredients that work to improve the condition of blemish-prone skin. Be sure to remove all make-up before you go to bed.

Ingredients

Salicylic Acid

Salicylic acid, a beta hydroxy acid, is an effective ingredient for treatment of acne-prone skin. It is a particularly effective ingredient that fights the causes of blemish-prone skin: blocked pores and bacterial growth. It is an antibacterial ingredient with an exfoliating and comedolytic effect: it counteracts Cutibacterium acnes, a bacteria that can trigger acne outbreaks, it dissolves & removes dead skin and opens up clogged pores and softens the skin to even prevent blocked pores. This small lipophilic acid penetrates into pores for deep pore cleansing. Overall, it improves the appearance of the skin: it reduces blemishes and prevents them from re-appearing.

Introducing Licochalcone A

Licochalcone A is a powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and skin-soothing ingredient. It is derived from the root of the Chinese Licorice plant (Glycyrrhiza Inflata) which uses natural compounds to protect its cells from excessive sunlight. When used in skincare products, Licochalcone A works to reduce inflammation and neutralises free radicals that negatively influence skin cells and accelerate the aging process. It helps to protect the deeper epidermal skin layers from sun-induced effects.

Introducing sebum-regulating technology

Ingredients such as L-Carnitine help cells to absorb free fatty acids where the mitochondria turn them into energy. This reduces the amount left over to form sebum, thereby controlling sebum production. L-Cartinine is part of Eucerin’s sebum regulating technology which also includes mattifying particles that mop up any excess sebum without clogging the pores.

Moisturizer

I have a problem with my skin, I have white heads on the nose and at the area around it. I'm using dermo purifying gel oil control face wash but am not sure which moisturiser I should use in the morning because my skin is not oily but sometimes becomes dry, like for example now I have a bit of rash on my face, the texture and complexion is not good. Please kindly advice, thank you.

Matt look day & night for oily skin

I have oily skin, searching for a day and night mattifying cream as i do not prefer using foundation every day.

For the reduction of sebum (oil) on the skin, we would recommend that you use the Dermo Purifyer Oil Control Cleansing Gel, followed by the Mattifying Fluid in the morning and at night. For sun protection, we would recommend the Eucerin Sun Dry Touch Sun Gel Creme.
