Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Cleanser

Cleanser for impure skin with 6% Ampho-Tensides

Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Cleanser is a daily-use, soap-free and fragrance-free formula for gentle, yet effective, cleaning for impure and blemish-prone skin. Containing 6% Ampho-tensides, it eliminates excess sebum (serbboreah) while removing dirt and make-up. Its anti-bacterial properties rid skin of bacteria and inhibit bacterial reproduction and, as it is non-comedogenic, it will not clog pores.

Frequently asked questions

Is acne caused by poor hygiene?

Acne is not a sign of poor bodily hygiene. On the contrary: too frequent cleansing of the skin with aggressive cleansing products can irritate the skin even more. Nevertheless, you should take care to cleanse your skin twice daily with a mild, non-dehydrating facial cleanser in order to remove excess sebum, sweat and dead skin cells from the skin. One should  avoid "fiddling around" with your fingers on the acne-related problems.

Is acne an allergy?

Acne is not an allergic reaction to particular foods or external stimulation. Allergies manifest themselves characteristically in different ways and can thus be clearly identified as such.

Will my acne clear up on its own as I grow older?

Usually the number skin problems reduces as we grow older, although some people do suffer from acne in their thirties. If you do not see an improvement, please contact a dermatologist.

Can I use Eucerin DermoPURIFYER Cleanser if I am already taking acne medication?

Yes, all Eucerin DermoPURIFYER products can be combined with common acne therapy. If you are at all concerned, talk to your dermatologist, pharmacist or doctor before using.

Is acne caused by dirty skin?

Although dirt doesn't cause acne, it is important to cleanse skin twice a day with a mild, non-dehydrating facial cleanser in order to remove excess sebum, sweat and dead skin cells as well as any dirt and left-over make up. It is equally important, however, not to over cleanse with aggressive cleansing products as this can irritate skin even more.

Is acne inherited?

Yes. Genetic predisposition plays a large part in acne. If both parents suffered from acne during their adolescence, then there is a greater likelihood that their children will also develop acne.
